Fathima Azmiya Badurdeen is presently a Lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences, TechnicalUniversity of Mombasa. Fathima has worked as a researcher and trainer in the field of countering violent extremism and forced migration in Kenya. She has also worked as a researcher, trainer and evaluator for conflict transformation and peacebuilding projects in Sri Lanka. She specializes in studies exploring recruitment dynamics for terrorist networks and countering violent extremism in Kenya. Some of her recent researched articles are:
